  • What I've Done

Hoho, I've been so lazy to blog I don't know what to say anymore. I don't even bother jotting down what I did since I touched down in Sydney and right now I don't remember much of it!

I guess I should try to recall some of the things I did:-

    1. Visit Melbourne
Melbourne was... A hyped up thing for me. It isn't as pretty as Sydney, maybe because it was so cold and dark and it didn't have the usual city hustle I'm so used to in Sydney... But the stay there was fun. I got to meet up with Ming although only a short while BOO! We met up with a bunch of Kai's classmates, such a silly bunch. Kai spent $140 on boardgames - Settlers and Munchkins - which were so fun to play! Especially with friends!

    2. Went double dating
Kai and I went on a picnic and then sight seeing with this other couple, Yi Hong and Yunyeen. :) Have I mentioned that Kai and I always wanted a couply friend?

Lol. So whenever we're with them we tend to do more couply stuff. We went to Norita, a boardgame cafe very much like Mage in DJ to play, we went picnicking and because Yihong drives, it's really easy to get around. We've gone on a sushi lunch date, we're planning on a dinner date soon. Yunyeen's going back to Melbourne this Saturday and we're all gonna miss her!

    3. I COOKED!!!
It was only once. Yesterday. I cooked Carbonara which was actually really easy. I was supposed to bake too, I even bought baking chocolate although I have not thought of what I want to bake. Probably cupcakes with a nice chocolate frosting. OH and maybe dragees and colourful chocolate rice? I'm going to have to learn how to cook more since we'll be eating at home a lot more often since our money is piupiupiu-ing down the drain.

    4. I won games!
Lol, before this, I have never won any games if I was playing against Kai and anyone else for that matter. -_-" But now I've won both Settlers and Munchkins and I'm so proud of myself! Woot.

    5. I visited the Koala Park

It was a girls's day out. Leena, Ngar Huei, Michelle and I went and visited the Koala Park just yesterday and I got to feed the kangaroos, pat the koalas and just have fun surrounded by animals. We saw the adorable penguins, the noisy cuckatoos, the smelly emus, the shy sheep, the lazy wombats, the sleepy koalas, the bouncy kangaroos... Was a fun day out. :)

    6. I ate...
...A LOT! I never knew how people can put on like, 20kgs here but since I visited Sydney last year, I now know. The food here, oh the glorious food! I'm forever hungry here because of the cold weather! And to make matters worse, they have the best everything here! From Italian, Japanese, Western, Chinese, Indonesian... Oh goodness. Pizzas, ribs, steaks, chicken, sushi, pasta... My oh my. I'm constantly putting food into my body and I have not been using that energy at all! -_____-" I've actually been sleeping a lot and I think I'm gonna get real flabby by the time I get home. :( Boyfriend feeds me too much, too and argh! Have.To.Stop.Eating.So.Much! It doesn't help that we've just bought three huge bars of chocolate, two packets of biscuits, a huge packet of chips, ice-cream...

    7. I learnt to dribble the ball properly
    Step one to playing basketball!

    8. I bought colourful pencils
Two, actually. And by colourful pencils, I don't mean the colour of the pencils. I meant the colour of the lead. The lead of these pencils are like rainbows. When you draw or write, depending on how you twist your pencil, your lines may have a part blue, red, yellow, white on them. :D Only, I feel cheated because my pencils are not working as prettily as I thought they will.

    9. I played the guitar
Or attempted to... I know how to play one simple song now. I want to be able to play and sing! I should take lessons when I'm here.

Obviously there are a lot more that I'm missing out on. Like the museum visit in Melbourne. Did you know that the National Museum in Malaysia stinks compared to the ones here?! BY FAR, Melbourne's museum beats Malaysia's museum. You actually see real fossils by animals, rare species of plants and insects, not to mention this really cool ant farm that we spent so long at, looking for the Queen! It had huge dinosaur models, and at the entrance, Yoda greets us with the power of the force. Or something like that anyway.

There are so many pictures that I want to post up! Too many in fact and I am having trouble picking them out. But right now, I'm gonna have to call MAS up to extend my stay! Yes, I'm crazy. Sighs.

  • Australia so far

At this point of time, I am at a friend's place in Melburne and have posibly infected the whole house with my cough and sore throat. But don't worry guys, the fever has not come and I am pretty sure it's not swine flu. :)

I'm just here to say that I have been having LOADS of fun! :D :D I am so filled with food every day, all the time so if you noticed that I have gained a couple of pounds, do me a favour and don't say anything. :( BUT I'm hoping with the weight gain, I will finally get the butt I've been wanting.

Apart from drama here and there, I can say that I'm enjoying myself. :) Which is good of course.

However, I miss my big bed back at home. :(

  • Seven Days

Yesterday I had this dream. That I was in the airport waiting for Kai to pick me up. It was cold but I was only wearing a layer of clothes. I don't remember carrying a luggage bag, I just stood at the bus stop waiting... And then he came! I woke up smiling, literally. I have not had those kind of dreams when I wake up smiling in a long time. But after that, I craved for dim sum.

In seven days' time, I'm gonna be able to finally see that funny, annoying face of his. FINALLY! The wait this semester didn't feel bad at all. At least half of it wasn't bad at all la. Maybe because we finally made use of Skype and our webcams. Made waiting a whole lot easier. :)

And also maybe because we've been so busy with other things, too. It feels like I've been working since that Nike project. And I have, actually. But it feels good that I'm finally free. This last week I'm gonna be prepping myself up for the trip. Yay!

My dad has been pestering me to postpone my trip due to the swine flu. But of course, I haven't and I will still go no matter what. Unless they stop flying their planes out lar, which will never happen so... Yes. I will go and be with my annoying boyfriend.

I've started packing up my bag early next week. I love packing! It makes the trip feel closer. My bags almost filled to the brim already. I've brought things to leave there so that when I come back the next time to study, I can worry about other things. :) And it will be like having two weight limits, which is very useful.

Seven more days love! Can you feel it?

  • OH.MY.GOODNESS!

I am almost hyperventilating right now. I just got a YES from my parents to study in Sydney!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm speechless. I thought it would be really difficult to convince them to allow me to study since our financial situation is never really stable.

But Gos blessed me in so many, many, many, MANY ways, I'm really just... In awe! This past month has been overflowing with blessings, one after another. And I'm entirely grateful!

I called the boyfriend in a flurry of excitement, so excited I almost spat into the phone a couple of times, trying to string a proper sentence. I was in that much of a shock.

Everything I had hoped and prayed for is finally falling into place! And this is the BEST news of all because I have dreamed of going over. To be with Kai and also to stay in a place that I absolutely fell in love with!

I'm planning to bring Jade over too, if I can fork out enough. It would be a great thing for her because she'll see what Australia is all about. Just like I did, last year.

I promised to go to Church every week when I'm there. And be the best student that I can be. The university may be small, but I'm looking for a transfer whenever possible to one of the bigger universities, maybe in my third year?

I can't wait to talk to the boyfriend about this! This is absolutely great news that we have been hoping and hoping for! I'm sorry if I sound super braggy but this is trying to be modest already. -_-" I can't sound less excited even if you held a gun to my head.

I WILL BE GOING TO AUSTRALIA!!!
